Wheel System

Hello and welcome to our wheel system guide. This guide will assist you in fully comprehending the wheel system. You'll also understand why this system exists, why we prefer it over the conventional alchemy system, and how we flawlessly implemented it on our servers.

What are wheels?

Wheels are magical items that can change the blues on your gear in ways that the regular magic stones can't. They allow you to create your own unique character. The enchantments they provide are what boost your character the most, so improving your gears with wheels is crucial for your character's growth.

We have three types of wheels, and we'll take a close look at each one to understand their functions.

Wheel of Fate

The Wheel of Fate determines the number of blues on your item. This number can vary from 2 to 11, influenced by both RNG and seal quality.

  • If your item has the lowest tier of seal, like star, nova, or magic seals, it means the maximum number of blues you can get on your item is 9.
  • If your item has the mid tier of seal, like moon, destruction or rare seals, it means the maximum number of blues you can get on your item is 10.
  • If your item has the top tier of seal, like sun, immortality or legend seals, it means the maximum number of blues you can get on your item is 11.

Wheel of Fortune

The Wheel of Fortune lets you change the existing blues on your equipment without affecting the maximum number of blues.

Feather Pen of Fortune

The Feather Pen of Fortune allows you to randomly change the value of a single blue line, without impacting the other blues or the maximum number of blues.

Why wheel system exists on Sailor Online?

  1. Enhanced Gameplay Variety: The Wheel system is implemented to diversify the gameplay experience. It introduces a unique mechanic where players can modify and fine tune their equipment through wheel enchantments. This adds depth to the gameplay by providing an additional layer of strategy and decision making. Players are not limited to just leveling up or acquiring gear; they can also focus on optimizing their existing equipment, making gameplay more engaging and enjoyable.

  2. Character Customization: One of the primary objectives of the Wheel System is to empower players to create highly customized characters. By allowing enchantments on equipment, Sailor Online enables players to tailor their characters to fit their preferred playstyle. This level of customization fosters a sense of ownership and uniqueness among players, as each character becomes a reflection of its owner's choices and preferences.

  3. Economic Balance and Fairness: The Wheel system is designed to maintain a balanced in-game economy. It achieves this by offering multiple pathways for character progression. Players who invest real money in the game (often referred to as "whales") and those who choose to play for free can coexist in the same game environment. The presence of whales benefits all players, as they often sell premium items or wheel items, making such items more accessible to those who don't spend money. This economic balance ensures that the game remains fair and accessible to a wide range of players.

  4. Long-Term Player Engagement: The gradual progression of the Wheel system encourages long term player engagement. Players have long term goals to work towards, which keeps them invested in the game over an extended period. Rather than quickly reaching the endgame, players can continuously improve their characters, ensuring that there's always a reason to log in and play.

  5. Community Interaction: The Wheel system fosters community interaction and cooperation. Players often strategize, share advice, and engage in trading to optimize their character's performance. This social aspect of the game strengthens the sense of community within Sailor Online, creating a supportive environment where players can learn from each other and collaborate to achieve their goals.

In summary, the Wheel system in Sailor Online serves as a multifaceted feature that enriches the gaming experience by offering diversity, customization, economic fairness, long-term engagement, and community interaction. It contributes to a well rounded and engaging game environment that appeals to a wide range of players.

Advanced tips on wheeling your items, which blues are the best for the equipments

When you start obtaining highest level sealed items, using the wheel can really boost your character's overall power. Try to get as much STR/INT as you can from these items, and it's also a good choice to have one durability bonus to make your gear last longer.

The suggested sequence for beginning wheel alchemy on your equipment is as follows:

Shoulders, Hands, Footgear > Weapon, Shield > Head, Chest, Legs > Accessories

The best blues for each piece of equipment

The optimal choice of blues may vary based on your character's class and primary attribute. However, we can discuss the most generally advisable order for these blues. In certain situations, Chinese characters prioritize Strength (STR) and Intelligence (INT) more than European classes because they are designed to be hybrid characters, utilizing the other stat more extensively than Europeans. For instance, while a Wizard might prefer additional Health Points (HP) on their headgear, Chinese characters tend to find more value in having extra STR/INT.  Another scenario is when a full Intelligence (INT) main wizard may prioritize the INT stat over HP. Ultimately, it comes down to player preference and playstyle at this juncture.

Weapon

Attack Rate=Target Blocking Ignore Rate>STR/INT>Durability

It's important to note that if your character primarily relies on Strength (STR), Critical becomes the most crucial blue here. One line of target blocking ignore Rate should be enough, but you can aim for up to three lines of attack rate. Afterward, prioritize accumulating as much Strength (STR) or Intelligence (INT) as possible.

It's worth noting that some support weapons are not primarily used for dealing damage but serve other valuable purposes. For instance, a spear user may equip a blade while running, or you might opt for a support weapon like a harp. In such cases, your focus should shift away from enhancing damage output and toward boosting your overall durability and effectiveness in a supportive role.

For support weapons of this nature, prioritizing Strength (STR) and Intelligence (INT) can be particularly beneficial. These attributes won't significantly augment your offensive capabilities, but they will significantly enhance your resilience. By stacking STR/INT on these weapons, you can bolster your tankiness, making you better equipped to withstand incoming attacks and fulfill your support role effectively.

So, if your intention is to excel in a support capacity and not primarily as a damage dealer, consider allocating your resources to strengthen your survivability through STR and INT enhancements on these specific weapons.

Shield

Block Rate>Parry Critical Attack>STR/INT>Durability

  Head, Chest, Legs

HP=STR/INT>Parry Rate>MP>Durability>Others

MP are particularly valuable for Chinese builds, especially those who utilize Snow Shield.

 Shoulders, Hands, Footgear

STR/INT>Parry Rate>Durability

Accessories

Necklace

Stun Resistance>Freezing/Frostbite Resistance= STR/INT>Others

Earrings & Rings

Freezing/Frostbite Resistance=STR/INT>Others

Freeze resistance holds significant value in this context because it's the only resistance that counters a crowd control effect. Therefore, it's advisable to prioritize freeze resistance until you reach immunity, and then focus on rolling for Strength (STR) or Intelligence (INT) on the remaining lines.
